1st Corinthians
Living Love When We Disagree

Dates: September 10 – October 22 (7 weeks)
Time: 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Book Cost: $12
Author: Melissa Spoelstra
Leader: Ruth Ann Mitchell

Relationships are messy.  We’re all different and imperfect, and we struggle to get along.  Even as Christians, we can find ourselves divided!  So, how can we work out our differences and disagreements with humility and grace, always showing the love of Christ, while still remaining true to what we believe?

In this 6-session video/workbook study, Melissa (who led us through last fall’s study of contentment in the book of Numbers) will now help us explore Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians where we’ll learn more about how Christians are to deal with differences and divisions – whether in the workplace, neighborhood, school, home, social media community, or even church.  Along the way, we’ll discover that the answer is living and sharing the radical love of Jesus Christ, and what this looks like in our day-to-day life.

Homework commitment:  5 Daily lessons each week (approx. 25-30 minutes each)

God+of+covenant.jpg

God of Covenant
A Study of Genesis 12-50

Date: September 10 – November 12 (10 weeks)
Time: 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Book Cost: $13
Author: Jen Wilkin
Leader: Lindsay Hoots

There are no minor characters in the story of God, and Jesus doesn’t just show up in the New Testament.  In fact, the Word made flesh is there on every page of Scripture, starting on page 1! So, join us as we examine the pages of Genesis – walking alongside the fathers of our faith (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph) — to find Our Savior, the Son of the Living God, foreshadowed in the stories of His people, even the most human and flawed.

Over 10 sessions, we’ll also discover how God orchestrates everything for His glory and the good of His people, and see how the God of creation and covenant is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Nothing can give us greater perspective.  Nothing can give us greater comfort.

Homework commitment:  5 lessons per week (25 - 30 mins each)

The+book+of+Galations.jpg

Galatians
An interactive study of Scripture!

Note: This class starts one week later than the other Tuesday classes.

Date: September 17 – December 3 (11 weeks)
Time: 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
Book Cost: None
Leader: Susan Lewis

Galatians has been described by some as “The Christian’s Declaration of Independence”!  In it, the Apostle Paul speaks to believers of that day in the area of Galatia and confronts them with the truth of the Gospel and why it’s not just the way to enter HEAVEN, but it’s the way to live out the Kingdom ON EARTH!  But, this letter, written so long ago, still has the same challenges for believers today … challenges with life-altering implications!  In just six chapters we’ll be challenged to confront true vs false gospels, faith vs works, law vs grace, liberty vs legalism, sonship vs slavery, the fruit of the Spirit vs the desires of the flesh!

Using her years of Bible Study Fellowship teaching experience, our own Susan Lewis will help us not only dig deeper into the Book of Galatians, but also learn simple yet powerful Bible study tools that will help us whenever we read and study Scripture … tools that will help us experience the inexpressible joy of His Spirit speaking personally to US through His Word!

Homework commitment:  1 lesson each week (approx. 30 minutes each)
