The Power of Transformed Speech

January 22 – March 5 (7 weeks)
Time:   9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
Book Cost:   $13
Author:         Mary Kassian
Leader:         Ruth Ann Mitchell

Do you ever struggle with your speech?  We all do, because it’s not just about what we say and how we say it … it can also be about what we don’t say that we should!  Either way, how we wield the power of our tongue can deeply impact our lives and our relationships, and that’s why James spends an entire chapter of his epistle addressing that muscle between our teeth that he calls “a restless evil …”

In this 7-week interactive workbook-based study, we’ll let God’s Word transform our words by changing us from the inside out … revolutionizing our speech habits and improving our relationships!

Homework commitment:  5 lessons per week (approx. 20 minutes each)

A Study of Genesis 1-11

Time:           9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Book Cost:  $13
Author:        Jen Wilkin
Leader:        Lindsay Hoots

It all began with the Word.

The opening chapters of Genesis don’t just teach the history of mankind and the universe as we know it, but actually teach the fundamental truths about God!  Truths revealed as we watch Him bring light from darkness and order from chaos … all through the power of His Word!

Join us for a 10-week verse-by-verse study of Genesis 1-11 in which we’ll revisit familiar stories and historical figures.  But, through it, we’ll not only discover deeper meanings in the text as God reveals Himself through Scripture, but also begin to understand ourselves better as we glimpse the character, attributes and promises of our Creator.

Homework commitment:  5 lessons per week (25 - 30 mins each)

The Shepherd With Me

Book Cost:   $13
Author:         Jennifer Rothschild
Leader:        Jeanne Giblin

You may know Psalm 23 by heart, but has your heart been changed by the power of its truth?  This beloved psalm can actually breathe new life into women who are weary and unsure of their next steps.  It’s more than a psalm that comforts in death; it’s a psalm that gives confidence in life.

In this study Jennifer helps us gain insight and encouragement from Psalm 23 as we explore the depths of God’s compassionate care, learning that our vulnerability is not a liability because we can trust the Shepherd’s goodness in every season of life!

Homework commitment:  5 daily lessons (20-30 mins each)

La FORTALEZA de Dios en tu debilidad

Martes:    22 de enero al 26 de marzo (9 semanas)
Horario:   9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Costo:      $13 (Para el Libro y Material)
Autor:      Priscilla Shirer

Hope for Survivors of Sexual Abuse

January 22 – April 16 (12 weeks)
Time:              9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Book Cost:   $17
Author:         Kubetin & Mallory
Leader:          Janet Vinson

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a unique study specifically for survivors of sexual abuse/trauma.  It is geared for a small group so will be limited in size, and no registrations will be accepted beyond the 2nd week of class.  Also, we are making every effort to protect the privacy of all who participate, including the use of a classroom in a separate, more private location, but if you have any questions or concerns, please contact Janet Vinson directly at

Nothing in life so isolates us from healthy human relationships and from a relationship with God as does sexual abuse.  Any experience of sexual abuse - but especially child sexual abuse - violates our boundaries and our trust.

In this course we will begin to identify destructive patterns that the abuse began and that other influences and choices have strengthened in our lives.  As we identify these harmful patterns, we will be able to make Christ-honoring and life-enhancing changes.  And, with the help of a support group of fellow recoverers, preparing individual assignments and participating in group sessions, this Christ-centered recovery process will help us resolve painful issues so that we can effectively minister to others.

Homework commitment:  5 lessons per week (30-45 mins each)

Wednesday Classes

IMPORTANT NOTE: Childcare is available for birth through Pre-K, however, due  to our Real Moms meeting on Wednesdays, childcare for classes that meet every Wednesday is limited.  If childcare is needed, please register early and we will contact you if your child’s age-group class is full.

DANIEL – Part 1
Lives of Integrity

January 23 – March 6 (7 weeks)
Time:              9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Book Cost:   $16
Author:         Beth Moore
Leader:          Elsa Dodson

This 7-week study of the Old Testament book of Daniel will no doubt leave you marveling at the Word of God but … more importantly … at our God of the Word!  Marveling at how the stories of people who lived in an ancient nation on the other side of the world could seem so relevant to our lives in modern America.  At how they stand as role models, then and now, for living God-glorifying lives of impact and integrity in a dark culture eerily similar to our own. Even if you’ve done this study in the past, you’ll be amazed at how much more relevant it seems TODAY!

Homework Commitment:  5 lessons per week (25-30 mins each)

PLEASE NOTE:  Daniel - Part 2, Words of Prophecy will begin March 20.  The same workbook will be used for both Part 1 and Part 2.

(This study is offered specifically for moms of kids birth through Pre-K)

January 23 – April 24 (7 sessions - every other week, alternating with Real Moms)
Time:            9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Book Cost: No Cost
Author:       Tedd Tripp
Leader:        Merideth Chambers

The things your child does and says flow from the heart.  Luke 6:45 puts it this way:  “… out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.”  So, how can a mom speak the things of Christ to the very heart of her child?

Most books on parenting give you advice either on how to shape and constrain your children’s behavior or on how to make them feel good about themselves.  But, this book contains something different.  It teaches you how to engage children about what really matters and how to address your child’s heart by your words and actions. You will be blessed as you join other moms of preschoolers and discover what it means to follow God’s instructions and shepherd your child’s heart!

Wednesday Evening Classes

Childcare is available for birth through Pre-K.  Activities and classes are available for grade school (Kids Ministry) through high school (Student Ministry)

Reality often ends up so very far from the life we long for, doesn’t it?  Bible teacher Lysa TerKeurst deeply understands daily disappointments and life-altering losses but, through each one, she’s discovered that … in God … we can find unexpected strength as we wrestle well between our faith and feelings.

In this video and book-based Bible study, Lysa uses solid biblical truth, vulnerability and honest humor that will help you:

·       find peace and hope for the future when you feel like your life is not what you expected

·       stop being pulled into the anxiety of disappointment by discovering how to better process unmet expectations and other painful situations

·       train yourself to recognize the three strategies of the enemy so you can stand strong and persevere through unsettling relationships and uncertain outcomes.

·       discover the secret of being steadfast and not panicking when God actually does give you more than you can handle

·       shift your suspicion that God is cruel or unfair to the biblical assurance that God is protecting and preparing you

·       know how to encourage a friend and help them navigate hard realities with real help from God's truth
